In my 3000 word text assessment for BA2a, in the conclusion I briefly touched upon the notion that the human condition is destined to transcend above its self. it is the scientists jobs to argue the facts, however as an artists it is my job to argue the possibilities. I believe that we as a species have lost an equilibrium with our planet our world, therefore in order to survive and progress as society demands we do we must transcend above our current human condition. There are two ways in which I see this this happening firstly the Individuals desire to return to the primal uncanny is pursued meaning we adapt and evolve into human/non-human hybrid organisms. However as this possibility is frowned upon by society, societies own desire to rise to a virtual world seems more likely.
This article supports the notion that humans could one day soon leave the boundaries of our current condition and leap into a more mechanical life.
